Helene Kohlen
Born in Saskatchewan. Moved to Oliver in 1934. After schooling in Oliver, moved to Vancouver where Helene entered Molar School of Hairdressing, graduating in 1954. Helene retired in 1986, from her own three Salons. For the next 6 years, helped husband Jim with their restaurant in Okanagan Falls, "The Falls Restaurant." From there to Imperial Antiques, and it was only natural to move into art! Taking Art Classes with Mari Sue Bagga, in oils. Classes with Larry Jackson in watercolours. Helene is a current member of the Oliver Arts Club, the Oliver Sagebrushers.
